Electron gun consists of mainly two cathode and anode. Cathode surrounded with grid ,it has negative potential. This grid controls number of electrons in beam. It is to increase or decrease brightness of beam spot. Anode is connected to high voltage 2kV to 10kV. It has focus anode which is connected to positive voltage. It adjusts the focus of beam.
Deflection system consists of two deflection plates, they are x-plates and y-plates. x-plates are called as horizontal plates and y-plates are called as vertical plates.
